Believing Mirrors are friends who reflect back to us our true potential. They help us to become larger than we are. When our faith wobbles, theirs holds steadfast. We can piggyback our lack of belief onto their steady sense of optimism. Believing Mirrors are often the key to perseverance.

Many of us are afraid to dream. We fear being disappointed. We fear looking foolish. We fear, period. Allowing ourselves to imagine a fulfilled dream is often the very first step toward actually fulfilling it.

It helps to think of ourselves as radio kits--with Morning Pages, we are "sending," with Artist Dates, we are "receiving." With walks, we integrate. A once or twice-weekly walk, as brief as twenty minutes, yields us a sense of direction. We often walk out with problems, and return home with solutions. Artist Dates help us to break free from our negative, sacrificial programming. We learn to be nice to ourselves. We learn to say "yes" to joy.
